Understanding Mobile Stem Cell Therapy For Pets

Mobile stem cell therapy is a treatment option that is proving to be effective in the treatment of certain kind of diseases. The treatment option has been used in humans for many decades in the treatment of various conditions such as lymphoma, leukemia and blood disorders. This is on top of treating other conditions such as solid cancer tumors.

It is also possible for pets to take advantage of this treatment option. When the treatment option is used for appropriate conditions, it can help to treat a huge number of animals. In fact, where stem cell therapy has been used, the results have been astounding. The most common use of this treatment option is in the treatment of osteoarthritis in canines. It is also used to treat injuries to joints, bones, ligaments, tendons as well as the spinal cord. Early research has shown that stem cells can be effectively used in the treatment of dry eyes in canines and stomatitis(an oral condition that is severe and painful) in cats. There are also indications that stem cells therapy for pets could be used in future to treat chronic diseases such as diabetes and autoimmune diseases like lupus in both people and pets.

In pets, stem cell therapy uses stem cells from areas such as umbilical cord blood, bone marrow or fat of the pet. The vet injects stem cells into the affected area. For instance, if the pet is suffering from osteoarthritis, the vet will inject the stem cells into the joints that have been damaged by the condition.
